Obsidian is a program for Mac that allows users to take notes using a light markup plain text system like Markdown.
Obsidian is born from the idea of hypertext as a way of organizing our thinking. As a result, this program promises to become your "second brain", where all your ideas can interconnect and be organized in a non-linear way. This means you can jump from idea to idea in this note-taking space, just as your brain does. You can then look at your line of thinking, what connections have emerged and how to develop new ideas from these.
The notes app has an eye-catching design, allowing you to organize notes into folders, create charts that automatically connect ideas and much more. For example, with the Graph option you can create notes that will be connected to other notes. At the same time you can generate connections between ideas that you wouldn't otherwise have seen, and all this in real time, to inspire you as you write. You can even link your notes to other notes or attach links.
Obsidian is a tool for Mac that takes note-taking one step further, trying to emulate the way our brain thinks to create a space where we can see the interconnections between ideas in a way that is much more inspiring than a simple notepad.
